         In general news, Mexico elected a new president, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador. North Korea, likely controlled by China, which is upset over the new U.S. tariffs, embarrassed visiting Secretary of State Pompeo, calling his visit “regrettable”, and sending signals that it would increase nuclear weapon testing once again. Prime Minster May of the UK seemed to agree to terms in a BREXIT deal that essentially maintained the status quo, betraying BREXIT advocates. In the U.S., scandal-plagued EPA head Scott Pruitt was ousted. On July 4th, far-left anarchists climbed the statue of liberty to protest immigration policies. In the economy, 213,000 jobs were added in June.

In healthcare business news, Juniper (JNP) was acquired by Catalent (CTLT). Also, Adamis (ADMP) shares surged when the company landed a distribution deal for Novartis’ (NVS) Symjepi epinephrine pens.

On the data front, Roche’s Tecentriq met endpoints in breast cancer.

From the FDA, Alkermes’ (ALKS) Aristada Initio was approved for the treatment of schizophrenia in adults.
