NIH Director Bhattacharya will also run CDC

February 18, 2026- by Steven Greer

Spit coffee out!

“Axios- National Institutes of Health director Jay Bhattacharya will also become acting director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as the Trump administration continues a shakeup of its senior health leadership, two sources told Axios.”

In June of 2024, when I was working with Jay on a medical paper, I suggested that he would be a good match for the job of Secretary of the HHS or CDC Director. His response was surprising, He said he wanted to run the NIH. I found that odd, but he got that job. Now, he will run the CDC too.

Jay’s background is in epidemiology. He rose to fame after the COVID mishandling.

What the HHS needs to do is publish an official report on how COVID responses were botched and recommend what never to do again.
