UNITED STATES ATTORNEY’S SDNY AUTHORIZED FOR EXPANDED ANTI-FRAUD FUNDING INCENTIVE VIA UNIQUE ADMINISTRATIVE PATHWAY

NEW YORK, NY — July 20, 2026

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York (SDNY) has successfully secured targeted funding approval from the Central Department of Justice (DOJ) in Washington, D.C. This authorization establishes a major allocation strategy to recruit and deploy additional federal prosecutors to expand the district’s ongoing “War on Fraud.”

The expansion stems from a strategic anti-fraud framework originally developed and proposed by Steven E. Greer, MD, who has collaborated closely with the SDNY on a related multi-jurisdictional enforcement matter for more than a year. Upon identifying an interconnected, complex healthcare fraud network originating in Minnesota, Dr. Greer devised the reverse-funding plan for the district.

“I wanted it to be called the Steven Greer Department of War on Fraud,” Dr. Greer noted facetiously, adding that he is still working on that aspect of the initiative, and “Stay Tuned.”

The finalized proposal requested a $10 million allocation, or sufficient funding resources, to onboard approximately 100 new Assistant U.S. Attorneys. This surge in legal personnel will specifically target Minnesota-style Medicare fraud operations, which evidence suggests have expanded into a coordinated nationwide syndicate.

This initiative marks a major departure from standard federal procedures. While regional districts normally wait for budget distributions from Central DOJ, this multi-month campaign broke traditional bureaucratic molds to secure direct, targeted funding.

The Central DOJ ultimately granted the expansion via a specialized J0905 administrative approval. The J0905 pathway serves as an extraordinary legal mechanism, allowing Washington to directly authorize regional districts to hire additional attorneys using earmarked, targeted funding outside of standard fiscal allocation cycles.

About Steven E. Greer, MD: Dr. Greer is a surgeon, former Wall Street portfolio manager, and founded The Healthcare Channel (thehcc.tv) in 2007. As a private citizen, he has become dedicated to exposing institutional fraud and stopping the networks that fund communism.
