Elizabeth Holmes uses a fake low voice to be taken seriously

YouTube algorithms fed me this video. It is hilarious for various reasons:

  1. Norah O’Donnell gave Elizabeth Holmes a puff-piece interview before she was exposed as a fraud, but long after everyone suspected. So, now she is trying to clean up her embarrassment.
  2. Norah O’Donnell herself uses a fake low voice when she is trying to be the “serious newswoman”. I have a brother who was a radio DJ. I know what this modulated voice is.
  3. I spotted Holmes’ voice as being odd a long time ago. I assumed she was autistic. Mark Zuckerberg uses this fake voice too, by the way.
